Muhammad Kamal is a lecturer at the Geographic Information Science (GISc) Department, Faculty of Geography, Universitas Gadjah Mada. He obtained his doctoral degree in remote sensing from The University of Queensland, Australia. Currently, he is the Vice Dean for Education, Teaching, and Student Affairs and the Editor of Majalah Geografi Indonesia at The Faculty of Geography UGM. His research interests are in mangrove biophysical mapping, image-based biophysical modeling, spectrometry, and Geographic Object-Based Image Analysis (GEOBIA).
