Abstract : IoT is a technology that provides many conveniences for humans. Behind this sophisticated technology needs a security system that can maintain network connectivity and data. Security in IoT has begun to be widely studied along with the outbreak of IoT devices used from smart homes to smart industries. IoT devices have limitations on their hardware performance. These devices are elementary to be disturbed by attackers through the internet network. Therefore, finding the attack's source as early as possible is imperative. An attack source that can be detected quickly will avoid a fatal impact on the survival of IoT devices. Availability is what is expected in IoT data connectivity. This paper proposes using an intelligent system based on particle swarm optimization algorithms to detect attacks as early as possible. From the results obtained, this algorithm can detect the source of the attack even though it takes up more bandwidth than traditional schemes. This method can support the functionality of the intrusion prevention system in the next-generation firewall. This attack detection system is a must on all modern IoT devices.
