Abstract | : | Alarms are an essential part of a medical ventilator. Medical personnel usually use them to determine the current condition using a ventilator, whether the patient requires special treatment or not based on the patient's condition. In this study, an alarm system based on fuzzy logic was implemented on the BVM ventilator for decision-making on the priority level of patients using BVM ventilators. Decision-making in the medical field, such as grouping conditions, is not like engineering, based solely on presence or absence. Some of the symptoms and parameters in a patient can be graded as mild, moderate, or severe. Fuzzy logic is expected to overcome the "gray" decisions in medical applications. In this study, a simulation of the alarm system design on a ventilator based on fuzzy logic was carried out. The use of fuzzy logic is expected to overcome "gray" decisions based on input parameters. The fuzzy logic simulation can classify priorities using alarms in the form of light colors, which consist of standard conditions (green), warning conditions (yellow), and dangerous conditions (red). Mamdani method fuzzy logic is used to determine the condition of the patient based on his priority. Input from this system consists of oxygen saturation values, pressure, and heart rate. The defuzzification process produces a crisp value in the form of a range of alarm priorities. The result is that the accuracy of the alarm is 100%. The simulation results show that fuzzy logic has succeeded in classifying patient conditions based on their priorities. |
