Abstract | : | To follow up the ICDD (International Conference on Digital Diplomacy), GSM (Government Social Media) Conference on Digital Diplomacy will be held as an international event involving worldwide experts to share perspectives, experiences, and researches in the fields of social media and digital diplomacy. GSM Conference on Digital Diplomacy is a collaborative event by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Government Social Media Summit (GSMS), and UK-Indonesia Consortium for Interdisciplinary Sciences (UKICIS). Session I - Digital Diplomacy Through Social Media Data-Driven The session explains what digital diplomacy is, its elements, and how data-driven in social media management could empower it. Speakers: 1. Gary Rawnsley - Dean Of Humanities & Social Sciences at University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) 2. Yayan Ganda Hayat Maulana - Head of Foreign Policy Strategy Agency at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia 3. Aqsath Rasyid Naradhipa - CEO at NoLimit and advisor at GSMS Moderator: Ully Adhie Mulyani - Ikatan Pranata Humas Indonesia Session II - How Virality Effects the Course of Public Policy The session discusses how viral content on social media affects the course of public policy making and decision, by theory/research and case study. Elvira Bolat - Associate Professor in Digital Marketing and Director of Accreditation at Bournemouth University Business School Moderator: Imam Suryanto - Ikatan Pranata Humas Indonesia Session III - Latest Research and Future of Government Social Media and Digital Diplomacy The session discusses latest researches and predicts the future of government social media for digital diplomacy and what strategy to be taken to make the best out of it.
