Abstract : A cyclone named Cempaka reportedly occurred in some part of Java Island in November 2017, precisely on 28th of November and caused damages in several area in Java Island. The cyclone triggered high rainfall intensity and resulted flooding. One of the impacted areas is Bantul. This paper attempts to present the impacted area of the cyclone spatially. The study area is in Bantul Re gency, small part of impacted area near Opak and Oyo river is selected with the concentration of residential in the study area. The ortho-photo map is created using image data acquired from UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) and visualized using the use of Geographic Information System Software applied in participatory method. The objectives of the research is to map the impacted area based on flooding depth data acquired from the field survey then interpolated, and to delineate on the printed image data by applying participatory mapping. The use image data of UAV is expected to show satisfactory results in spatial resolution especially in visual representation of mapping border and the benefit of the resulting map to confirm or support the model of inundation using UAV-derived DEM for future following research. The results are map that represents the depth of flooding caused by excessive rainfall and delineation map of the inundated area in the study area based on community’s participatory-derived data.
