| Abstract | : | This research aims to understand and analyze the implementation, problems, solutions, potentials on development, and protection of Esemka car in the perspective of the World Trade law under the WTO. The method of this research is empirical normative through library research to obtain secondary data and field research to obtain primary data. This research is analytical descriptive, which aims in describing the WTO principles through several WTO’s agreements, and using these principles to analyze the implementation and protection of Indonesian national program/product/Esemka car. This research uses documentary study and interview. Data were analyzed by qualitative method. Based on the research, it is conclusive that the implementation of Esemka car by PT Solo Manufaktur Kreasi meets problems and it attempts to find the best solutions. Esemka car is potential since it belongs to a broad networking of vocational secondary/high schools (SMK), abundance of human resources and Indonesian big market. In this research, Esemka car was studied from several agreements in the WTO, aspects namely intellectual property law, standardization, investment, political will of the government and its regulation, infant industry and politics of international trade/WTO law towards Esemka car. |
