Abstract : National Nuclear Energy Agency of Indonesia (BATAN) has cooperated with Geophysics Laboratory-Universitas Gadjah Mada since 2012 in Bangka Island local earthquakes monitoring. Seismic network for this purpose includes 10 broadband seismic stations located on Bangka Island and its surroundings. Earthquakes analysis certainly requires seismic high quality data. One that affects quality of seismic data is the noise level at each station which influenced by various factors. Power Spectral Density (PSD)-Probability Density Function (PDF) calculation of seismic signal compared with The New High Noise Model (NHNM) and New Low Noise Model (NLNM) is the standard method in noise level calculation. This paper discusses PSD-PDF or PPSD calculation of seismic data from the stations in period March to December 2014. The results show that PSD and PDF of the stations is within safety levels (between NHNM and NLNM) in the period under 10 seconds, but has a tendency to rise in high periods (10 s.d. 100 seconds). In period of about 20 seconds, the value of PSD starting above NHNM. Furthermore, the increase not directly related to the quality of seismic data. This is mainly due to the seismic response capabilities of the sensor. In general it can be concluded that the data from each station can be used for further earthquake analysis.
