Abstract | : | The study was designed to determine profile of blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and nonpregnant progesterone hormone in repeat breeding Holstein Friesian Grade (HFG) cows. Bloodsamples were taken once a week through a vein caudalis using vaccum holder with EDTA.Analysis of blood samples were carried out in the Integrated Laboratory of Research andDevelopment UGM. BUN was inspected using glutamate dehydrogenase urease (Urease-GLDH). Progesterone were measured using Enzyme Linked Immuno-Sorbent Assay (ELISA) andprogesterone hormone kit (DRG, Germany) for the progesterone hormone levels. The datawere analyzed using independent sample t-test to determine the differences of BUN andprogesterone in repeated breeding dairy cows and normal dairy cows. Results showed thatBUN in repeated breeding dairy cows were higher than in normal breeding cows (196.06 ±82.02 and 61.47 ± 8.87 mg / dl). Non pregnant progesterone level in repeat breeding cowsrepeated was 21,13 ± 4.67), while less level was found in normal breeding (6,85 ± 1.23). Finally,BUN and progesterone level are high in repeat breeding Holstein Fiesian Grade cows. |
