Abstract : "In a hospital, the development of the decision support system is an important component, especially in the service section. Prof. Soeparwi Animal Hospital has limited inpatient room that can directly affect the quality of service to patients, especially if the number of patients is booming. A decision support system to predict recovery time is needed to help staff in arranging available inpatient rooms. This system uses the Iterative Dichotomiser 3 (ID3) algorithm to build a decision tree which is then translated into classification rules. ID3 algorithm is used to classify the variables contained in a patient's medical record dataset within one year, from January until December 2017. Result of the research is a classification of estimated recovery time in 3 categories, namely 1-5 days, 6-10 days and >10 days with 60% testing accuracy so that the administrative staff can maximize inpatient room management and animal owners can estimate the costs needed. Decision tree of classification is also displayed in the system prototype. "
