Muhammad Ali Imron currently works at the Department of Forest Resources Conservation, Universitas Gadjah Mada . Muhammad does research in Forestry and Environmental Science. Their current project is Biodiversity conservation in shade-grown coffee landscape of a lowland tropical forest in Java. Ali has been working in the field of wildlife ecology and conservation in Indonesia since 1999. He conducted various researches from ecology of Sumatran tiger, Indonesian primates, Sumatran elephant, Komodo dragon, as well as small mammals in tropical forest in Indonesia. He also has particular interest on Individual-based model for nature conservation in Indonesia.
