Ahmad Maryudi is Full Professor of Forest Policy and
Governance at the Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Gadjah Mada. He chairs the
faculty’s Research Center for Forest Policy and History Studies (Sebijak Institute). He holds a PhD in
Forest Policy Development from Göttingen University (Germany). His research
interests include forest policy and governance, community forestry policy,
forest tenure and land use policy. He is active in advising policy at both
global and national levels, among others as deputy coordinator of the Forest Policy
and Economics (Division 9.00.00) of the International Union of Forest Research
Organizations and Associate Editor for Forest Policy and Economics (Elsevier).
